The Therapeutic Services Section of the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department provides community-based recreational activities to persons with all types of disabilities. Services include in-school therapeutic recreation programs, after-school recreation programs and Camp Sparks (summer day camp programs), along with various special events such as dances and monthly teen outings. Sports training includes the BlazeSports^sm program for physically challenged youth and participation in Special Olympics for mentally challenged citizens. In addition to the programs administered through the All People’s Life Center, many activities are available at the Bakas Equestrian Center, which provides a therapeutic horseback riding program.
