More than 43,600 acres of land were acquired through the County’s Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP) since its inception in 1987 at a total price of $186.3 million.
The County received $76 million of that in joint funding.
The ELAPP program preserves natural habitat, water quality, and reduces flood risk in flood-prone areas.
