About the Director
 
George WilliamsGeorge A. Williams became the Human Resources Director in December 2003. Previously he was the Human Resources Director for Lee County, Florida. From his prior experience, he brings to the county leadership achievements in creating dynamic work environments, improving organizational quality and generating high-level organizational productivity. He also has extensive experience and success in producing quality human resource management (HRM) strategies and processes.

Mr. Williams also worked in Human Resources for a hospital group in Florida, has worked with Humana, Inc., and has worked for City Public Service in San Antonio, Texas. He also served in human relations positions as an officer in the United States Air Force and with a technology firm in New Jersey.

In addition, he has a bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University and completed several hours towards a master’s degree. He has four daughters
